Every Burly model we stock carries at least one of these certifications. If a product page does not list the specific standard, ask us before you order.

• EN ISO 20345 - The core European safety footwear standard. Burly models meet this for steel toe protection rated to 200 joules and compression resistance to 15 kN. The classification (S1P, S3) tells you the protection level. S1P means steel toe, antistatic properties, oil resistance and puncture-resistant midsole. S3 adds water resistance.
• Steel Toe Cap (200J) - The steel toe cap is rated to 200 joules of impact protection, which is the standard requirement for industrial safety footwear. This protects against falling objects and compression hazards.
• Steel Midsole - The full-length steel midsole provides puncture resistance, preventing nails, glass and sharp debris from penetrating the sole and reaching the foot. This is a critical feature for construction and demolition work.
• Anti-Static Construction - Burly shoes are built with anti-static properties that prevent the buildup of static electricity. This matters in electronics manufacturing, automotive assembly and any environment where static sparks could ignite flammable vapours.
• SRC Slip Resistance - SRC combines SRA (ceramic tile with detergent) and SRB (steel floor with glycerine) slip tests. It is the highest slip resistance rating under EN ISO 20345. The MSI 303 carries SRC rating.
