Mobiak is a Greek firefighting equipment manufacturer founded in 1977 in Chania, Crete. Today it is the largest fire safety company in Greece and exports to more than 110 countries. About Mobiak: What Makes This Brand Different

Mobiak started as a small operation bottling acetylene in a 800 square metre facility on the island of Crete. It did not begin as a fire extinguisher company. The shift happened gradually through the 1980s and 1990s as the founders recognised that fire safety standards in Europe were tightening and Greek industry needed a domestic manufacturer that could meet international certification requirements. By 2005 the company had invested €5.5 million in a major expansion at its Chania facility, and by 2006 it was producing a full range of certified extinguishers for land and marine applications.

Every Mobiak extinguisher we stock carries at least one of these certifications. If a product page does not list the specific standard, ask us before you order.

• BSI Kitemark - The most recognised third-party certification mark in the UK. Kitemark certification means the product has been independently tested, the manufacturing facility has been audited and ongoing production is monitored. The Mobiak 9Lt water and 50Lt foam trolley both carry this mark.
• EN 3 - The European standard for portable fire extinguishers. Covers design, performance, testing and marking requirements. Every Mobiak portable model meets EN 3-7, EN 3-9 and EN 3-10.
• MED (Marine Equipment Directive) - Required for extinguishers installed on commercial vessels and offshore platforms. Mobiak holds MED Module B and Module D certification for marine applications.
• CE Marking - Confirms conformity with applicable EU health, safety and environmental regulations. Required for all extinguishers sold within the European Economic Area.
