The PH30, PH60 and PH120 fire resistant cables are the core of the range. PH30 maintains circuit integrity for 30 minutes during a fire. PH60 handles 60 minutes. PH120 handles 120 minutes. These ratings meet BS EN50200 and BS6387 standards. The 2 core 1.5mm fire retardant cable is the most common size for fire alarm loops. It uses solid bare copper conductors, 200 degree rated silicone insulation and LSZH outer jacket. Low smoke, halogen free, self extinguishing. Voltage rating 300/500V. Operating temperature -20 to +90 degrees Celsius. Fire resistance up to 950 degrees Celsius for 90 minutes per IEC 60331-21. The cable also passes fire and water spray tests at 950 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes, and fire, water and impact tests at the same temperature with mechanical shock.
We also stock multicore cables for larger systems. 4 core, 6 core and 8 core options are available for fire alarm and control circuits. Shielded versions with fire foil and drain wire are available where electromagnetic interference is a concern. These are used in industrial plants, substations and data centres.
