About Citex: What Makes This Brand Different

Citex started in 1992 as a small operation supplying lifting slings to the Dutch construction industry. The company built its reputation on webbing quality. Instead of sourcing polyester from the cheapest available supplier, Citex developed long-term relationships with European textile mills that could guarantee consistent yarn strength and UV resistance. CITEX CARGO LASHING STRAPS - Polyester lashing straps with ratchet buckles for securing loads during transport. Model CL897 offers a 3-ton capacity with 50mm width and double J-hooks. The ratchet mechanism provides mechanical advantage for tight tensioning. Complies with EN 12195-2. • EN 361 - The European standard for full-body harnesses. Covers design, testing and marking requirements for fall arrest harnesses. The Citex 033 harness carries this certification.
• EN 358 - The European standard for work positioning belts and restraint systems. Covers the design and testing of belts used for positioning work at height. The Citex 033 harness meets this standard for its positioning elements.
• EN 1492-1 - The European standard for flat woven webbing slings made of man-made fibres. Covers material requirements, testing, marking and safety factors. Citex flat webbing slings carry this certification with a 7:1 safety factor.
• EN 1492-2 - The European standard for round slings made of man-made fibres. Covers endless round slings for lifting applications. Citex round slings carry this certification.

• 30 kN Strength Rating - The Citex 033 harness webbing is rated to 30 kN (approximately 3,000 kg) minimum breaking strength, which exceeds the EN 361 requirement of 15 kN for fall arrest components.
• 7:1 Safety Factor - All Citex lifting slings are manufactured with a safety factor of 7:1, meaning the minimum breaking strength is seven times the working load limit. This exceeds the minimum EN 1492 requirement of 6:1.
• CE Marking - Confirms conformity with applicable EU health, safety and environmental regulations. Required for fall protection and lifting equipment sold within the European Economic Area and recognised by Pakistani industrial buyers.
