• ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 - The American standard for industrial head protection. Covers impact resistance, penetration resistance and electrical insulation. Type I covers top impact protection. Class E covers electrical insulation up to 20,000 volts. The V-Gard GREEN carries Type I Class E certification.
• EN 397:2012+A1:2012 - The European standard for industrial safety helmets. Covers impact absorption, penetration resistance, chin strap performance and electrical insulation requirements. The V-Gard H1 meets this standard.
• EN 12492:2012 - The European standard for mountaineering helmets. Covers impact protection from all directions including front, back and side impacts. The V-Gard H1 carries this certification, which makes it suitable for working at height and confined space applications.
• CSA Z94.1-2005 and Z94.1-2015 - The Canadian standard for industrial head protection. Covers impact resistance, penetration resistance and electrical insulation. The V-Gard GREEN and V-Gard H1 both meet this standard.
• EN 50365:2002 - The European standard for electrically insulating helmets for use on low-voltage installations. Class 0 covers use up to 1,000V AC and Class 1 covers up to 7,500V AC. Some V-Gard configurations carry this certification for utility work.
• USDA Biobased Certification - The United States Department of Agriculture certifies products that meet minimum biobased content requirements. The V-Gard GREEN shell carries over 95% biobased content certification, which confirms the material is derived from renewable plant sources rather than petroleum.
• SEI Certification - The Safety Equipment Institute provides third-party certification that products meet the standards they claim. The V-Gard GREEN is SEI certified under ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 and CSA Z94.1. SEI certification means an independent body has tested the product and audited the manufacturing process.
