Offers protection against infective agents under EN 14126 and resistance to penetration by bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids. Serged external seams for strength and comfort. Elastic wrists, ankles and face. Glued-in elastic waist for a secure fit. Storm flap and pin lock slider zipper pull that locks in place when the pins are pushed into the zipper elements. Every DuPont product we stock carries at least one of these certifications. If a product page does not list the specific standard, ask us before you order.

• CE Category III - The highest risk category under Regulation (EU) 2016/425. Covers protection against mortal danger or irreversible injury. Every Tyvek and Tychem garment carries this certification with Module D accreditation, which means the manufacturing facility is audited by an independent body.
• Type 5-B (EN ISO 13982-1) - Protection against airborne solid particles. The B suffix indicates the garment has passed the "barrier to infective agents" test. The Tyvek 500 carries Type 5-B certification.
• Type 6-B (EN 13034) - Protection against limited liquid chemical splashes. The B suffix indicates biological protection testing. The Tyvek 500 carries Type 6-B certification.
• Type 3-B, 4-B, 5-B and 6-B - The Tychem C range carries all four types, which means protection against liquid jets (Type 3), liquid spray (Type 4), airborne particles (Type 5) and light splashes (Type 6).
• EN 14126 - Protection against biological hazards including bacteria, viruses and bloodborne pathogens. The Tyvek 500 and Tychem C both carry this certification with Class 3 for blood penetration under ISO 16603.
• EN 1073-2 - Protection against radioactive particulate contamination. Covers the garment's ability to prevent radioactive particles from reaching the skin. Tychem C and Tychem F carry this certification.
• EN 1149-5 - Antistatic performance for coveralls. Prevents static charge buildup that could ignite flammable vapours. Tychem C and Tychem F carry this certification.
• ISO 16603 Class 3 - The test standard for resistance to penetration by synthetic blood. Class 3 is the highest performance level, confirming the garment prevents bloodborne pathogen transmission.
• Flammability Class 1 - The Tychem C and Tychem F carry Class 1 Wearing Apparel Flammability, which means they will not continue to burn after the ignition source is removed. This matters in environments where sparks or hot surfaces are present.
